Following on from the carandrog thread of what meal could you eat for the rest of your life?
You can eat as much as you like and not get overfull.
You can drink what you like and not get tipsy.
You have to finish up on a balcony with favourite tipple in hand watching the universe go FOOM
What would you choose?

Chateau d'Yquem?

So two of us for the Sauternes, then?
Bit like the plebs is it?
I would sit in Alain Ducasse's restaurant in the Dorchester and eat anything he put in front of me. Amazing chef.
I would then nip over to Italy and have Nonna's lasagne, polpette and gnocchi. I'd die a very, very happy girl! :)
yep JJ - or on the side for a sip of the D'Yqem.......
Chicken Dhansak, mushroom rice, peshwari naan and a cold bottle of Cobra. Banoffee pie for pudding with a jug of Pimms for the balcony !!!!!

Shut up you lot. I'm trying to diet. How can I resist all these lovely meals?

With my luck, I'd have no appetite and go straight for Lagavullan on the balcony
Steak fillet chips, mushrooms, onion rings and peas.
It would be an endless list of all the foods i love abd drinks to match each course
A bottle of Calvados before jumping off the balcony. But I know on my way down my last thought would be 'What if they were having a laugh ?' !

Yep..think so jj. was there about 15 years ago and loved it...
A large joint (possibly beef, but not certain) and an endless supply of munchies. Oh yes, and a large selection of single malts.

JJ - excellent taste!

The Foie Gras for sure, but several smaller courses - soft shell crabs, Arctic Char with ginger & black bean, peking duck, standing rib of roast beef, nihari lamb (i only know one place for this, granita and amuse bouches as appropriate, fruit and a well chosen cheese board.

wines - perhaps a Gewurtztraminer, then a great red - I recall a magnum of Chateau Rausan- Segla - I'd trust the sommelier. And a fabulously expensive dessert wine.

I don't fancy swishing champagne back & forth with any lovely lady - it goes a bit sour after a while. Something a bit more robust like an excellent armagnac? or a trockenbeerenauslese?
