Best money you've ever spent?

Last year it cost me roughly £1k for surgery and follow up treatment for my wagster following his twisted colon. Well worth it, in my opinion.

However much I've spent on my road/race bike with additional bits and bobs. I've seen more of Europe, in a pleasant way, than I ever would expect to by other means.

£150 to buy my Fiat 126 when I was 18! It was 13 when I bought it and I kept it going for another 10 years - I loved that car!

My ski boots.

Bought them about ten years ago. They were about £300, I think. They are SO comfy, and exectly right for my skiing. I dread the thought of losing them. Two years ago, I broke the heel plate on one boot. Although they were a discontinued model, I asked the manufacturers if they could repair them. I said that even if repairing them cost more than a new pair of boots, I'd still rather get them repaired. The manufacturers didn't have the parts, because of the range being discontinued. Eventually, I found a ski shop in Italy, who had a stock of the old plates I needed, and they were repaired in Italy. If they ever break again, they're going back to the same place.

I have a pair of walking boots I feel like that about... sooo comfy I'd really hate it when they can't be repaired any more

All of £23 for an 8 panel dog pen 36 inches high to act as a fence as my kids staffies whom I love are here at times as their second home depending on their work loads. I can fence off half the garden and not have my flowers chewed to pieces.

My first climbing boots were a second hand pair of nailed ones which were great in the Alps. Less than a quid and they still live in the garage as robins like to nest in them.
