Add mayo have a snort

blend in the ketchup for colour, have another snort

add a squeeze of lemon juice have another snort.

add a touch of brandy & a quick slurp from the bottle

add a touch of horseradish & replenish your glass & have a another snifter from the brandy bottle

finally try & add a wee...

yes
A splash of tabasco, a touch of brandy, squeeze of lemon juice, bit of horseradish, skip the sage def won't work. Otherwise you're onto a winner. Don't forget salt and pepper.
Mayo, Tomato ketchup and a good dash of worcester sauce.

thanks - going to try a bit of tabasco with it
as for the brandy I have other plans :)
I would avoid the tomato puree as it will give a bitter taste if uncooked. Better with tomato ketchup.

Wiil do Howard - just mentioned I had it in case someone felt it was a better alternative . It just seems a bit strange to use ketchup , I'm used to pouring it over chips !
I always use puree, I haven't found it bitter. And I use lots of lemon juice but then I like the acidic taste.
Tomato puree IS cooked, no reason for it to be bitter. Admittedly it isn't as sweet as ketchup, for some this is a good thing.

OK, keep your brandy for other things ;-)
Any chipotle pepper? - really good with this - a little smoky and spicy
DTC - is there anything you don't add chipotle to?

BTW, I have a tin in my cupboard if you are ever up this way....
laugh - really good with mayo things - and salmon, chicken, turkey pork....haven't tried it in a chocolate fondant - yet.
Smoky chilli and dark chocolate - it's a given that that will work!!!
Sounds like Masterchef around here.....
you'll have to read Mad over50s later (post 8-30!) Eccles.....got you "in"
I am touched and flattered to be invited to the MOFC, I've often thought of crashing the party but didn't want to declare which of the criteria I met!

Sadly this evening I will be sampling some highly questionable, allegedly edible, canapes with our equally questionable neighbours.

I hope the invitation remains open and I can join you in the furture.....
aah well the log of events will be there for the morrow or the future.

Hope you have no gippy stomachs tomorrow or any gip from the gipsy nay-bors
And a good Christmas too!
Sorry but its all not my cupp-a-tea.
Can't you pop out and get a jar of 'Thousand Island Dressing'?
