My partner is a veggie and I'd like to try and do something very special for him for Xmas Day. Rather than trawl through the many magazines that wll be on the shelves shortly, as Answerbankers have rarely failed me in the past, I thought I'd ask them first!

He will be the only veggie at the Xmas Day table so it would be a help if it could be prepared the day before leaving me free to cope with turkeys etc on the day! He eats practically everything and whilst he is partial to spicy or perfumed foods I'd like to avoid (for example) filling the flat with (say) curry smells as the older people coming aren't fond of "foreign food!"

I want to avoid if possible the old standbys of pasta and tomato based sauces and I am sure out there is a marvellous dinner party recipe for veggies. Over to you Answerbankers!

Hi ... Have a look at this link. Glamorgan Sausages, are a popular non meat version in Wales. I'm a veggie, suppose technically a 'Pescatarian' - I eat fish.

pescatarian |ˌpɛskəˈtɛːrɪən|(also pescetarian )
noun
a person who does not eat meat but does eat fish. no red meat.
ORIGIN 1990s: from Italian pesce ‘fish’, on the pattern of vegetarian .

However, on Christmas Day; I hope to have a nice mushroom encroute.

Nos da a Nadolig Llawen.
