Tonight we are having a few people round so I'm doing Chicken tikka, and some onion bhajis to start, served with a lemony mint and yoghurt sauce, and salad garnish, then a lamb bhuna, a beef Madras, and a chicken and prawn dopiaza, dhal, bombay potatoes, pilau rice, naan breads, chutney/pickles and poppadums. Lassi/sherbet or Indian lager to drink. Tropical fruit salad and mango kulfi for pud.

I love curries but my fave is actually a prawn curry from our local Chinese takeaway
oooh yes, Mrs O, chinese curries are the best!
Do you find that when you have done all that hard work that they taste like they would from a takeaway or in a restaurant? Mine never do.

They do alright!! Accounts done, no vehicle maintenence to pay for (farm or otherwise) I buy feed for the animals he 'grows' for me, they get haircuts and discount gold jewellery and any building/plumbing/electrical jobs done either free or at cost, so they don't miss out
your bro's are good, it's a three hour one way trip to my mum's on a good day - no way i'd do that weekly

or maybe i'm lazy
discount gold jewellery... We have a man on the market, Eggy James, who specialises in that. Best stall in town. Funnily enough, he also sells eggs.

Neighbours Cazz, neighbours! We have a barter scheme. Everything from babysitting to dog-walking, accounts done, gardening and landscaping, building, to vehicle mechanics etc. Sharon the girl that sometimes walks the dogs (when she's not doing exams like at the moment) works in one of the design centres, she pays the current gold weight price and that's it, no mark-up as they are 'test pieces' by new designers
How do you keep up with it all?

Dansak- King prawn.
I thought you were just going to say that your husband covered the overheads because he is the director of sony europe! bartering with neighbours sounds very rewarding though.
i wonder what i could barter my neighbours for, i'm not swapping the cat for the kids that 's for certain
do it fluff!!
