Can't be done!
Keep clapping for the NHS anyway. Doing a brilliant job.
Just that there *ARE* others who have no PPE and are still working.
Just a thought.

Some people go into dangerous proffesions knowing the risks.
(Ive had medics and forces in my own family)
BUT There are others as well who contine to work...
Clapping blindly for people doing their job is like supporting footballers. I prefer supporting things people are not paid for. But thats just me :)
Dustbin men, postal workers, street cleaners, shop assistants, food bank operatives, council workers ...

Lots of people to say 'Thank you' to.
Yes, I know many.
Me to. I often think of our heroic fishermen. Out in all conditions and risking their lives to put food on our table.
Yes, as far as I'm concerned it's for all of them. The problem with naming a few groups, is others get missed out.
Very true pixie.
I couldn't think of any more, Pixie. Please add to the list, if you like.

I think of care workers as being part of the NHS.
I didn't mean you, tilly, more the public fb adverts x
My next door neighbour was made redundant just before Christmas after 40 years service with his company. He has since found a job with Asda in the local warehouse and has been given employment as a pall bearer with a local undertaker. I asked last Thursday during our neighbourly clap and he said no PPE was provided for either job.
I must admit I haven't been out clapping. I know they all do a great job but it seems a bit girlie to me to stand there applauding. Anyway, I received a text message yesterday from my doctors to say they were still available and to contact them if I needed anything. Mrs Clarion phoned 3 times but no-one answered. Phoned 4 times today. No reply. This happened once before!
Teachers who are looking after the children of key workers. It’s very difficult to keep to the 2m rule, particularly with very young children.
Killjoy alert

''I often think of our heroic fishermen. Out in all conditions and risking their lives to put food on our table.''

They don't do it to put food on our table, they do it to put food on the table of their own family.
That's very true Roy! I think some people have been watching too many Birds-Eye ads!.
I don't go out and clap because it would scare my old dog. Yes I am grateful to all the keyworkers but right now I am feeling particularly grateful to the staff at my vets, my bin men and to my paperboy.
Why do Prison Officers always get missed
The stress of the job...oh, you said missed.
Lol

My sister worked for the NHS for 29 years, not a single clap for her. Her stepson was in the army for years as well. No clap for the forces hat protect us.

Now some people cry because they dont have a clap on a certain day.
Well boo fookin hoo.
Delivery drivers, nursery nurses, train drivers and railway staff...
