This amused me...

// The 47-year-old singer was arrested in July in Hampstead, north London after driving his Range Rover into a branch of photographic store Snappy Snaps.

The pop star was greeted by a horde of photographers as he arrived at court earlier. //

I look forward to the bar of soap gags...

Eight weeks jail eh? Hope they throw away the key.

That's minor sentence is for his recent misdeneanours I guess. He should have also been brought to task for contributing to the death of Anselmo Feleppa.

But then, I suppose 'celebrity' status intervened.

George Michael - a disgusting and disgraceful example of the human race.
How long will he actually do?

I'll go for two days.

2 weeks..

Err...slightly overstating the case there? What condemnation do you reserve for child rapists and murderers?

Totally right that he should be jailed. He's gotten away with it too many times and he needs to understand that he either a) gives up smoking weed or b) gets himself a good reliable chauffer.
He will be released on parole, or will appeal his sentence.

Prison is only for poor people, and people from Croydon.
He will get plenty of Sex in there......maybe he will not want to be freed ! ;-)))

Steve.5 - Not a wind-up. Just the view of someone who is sickened by the media coverage of a guy/it who is totally devoid of any respect for himself or society.
I was watching it on the news. Someone's written WHAM! at the spot where his car hit the wall.
A.Guest - “He [George Michael] should have also been brought to task for contributing to the death of Anselmo Feleppa. But then, I suppose 'celebrity' status intervened.”

What are you talking about? How did George Michael contribute to Mr Feleppa's death? Mr Feleppa contracted HIV at some point in his life and then subsequently died of an AIDS related illness in 1993. Quite how George Michael contributed to Mr Feleppa's acquisition of HIV leading to the onset of AIDS is something only you seem privy to.

George Michael appears to be guilty of being an idiot and in my opinion, has received the sentence he deserved. However, I fail to see how he can be in any way responsible for Mr Feleppa's death. Maybe you can enlighten me?
well hey, I was going to question A.Guest's bizarre post but I see that birdie got there before me.

do explain, A.Guest..
What made me laugh was that someone had put graffiti WHAM where he had hit the wall

No laughing matter this, that piece of sick graffiti could have easily been the site of floral tributes.
^.......................but isn't.............(don't let that stop you, though).
But it wasn't and the chances of someone putting it there if it had been is minimal.
Having arrested George Michael for driving under the influence of drugs, the police promptly strip searched him and discovered a chocolate bar in his anus. They believe it was a careless Wispa.
jackthehat, ummmm.

May I remind you and all the others that do not find the ongoing actions of this irresponsible person serious.

Driving while under the influence of drink or drugs is a very serious matter, let him inflict injuries on himself if he must, but one day an innocent life could be ended by the actions of this disgusting and disgraceful example of the human race.
My next-door-neighbour killed me last night !

Well, she didn't...............but she might have done !
