Pregnancy test

Hi. I did a couple of pregnancy tests and both appeared negative (a vertical line in the control window and no vertical line in the test window). There was however also a very fine line running through both windows horizontally that eventually disappeared. I was just wondering if this is normal. I am assuming that it was there because of the moisture and I'm worrying about nothing. On the diagram in the instructions it indicates that it should be a vertical line in both windows for a positive result. Hope I've explained this clearly!

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Im sure the horizontal line was just where the liquid was soaking up through.
How many days past due is your period?

Well I don't get periods because of the pill I'm so there's no real indication. I know this makes it less likely to get get pregnant. I am just extremely paranoid about these things! Most likely worried about nothing. Thanks for your reply
If it literally dissapeared within a min or so it was prob just the fluid soaking through but if you've done the test a bit early a positive result if often a very faint line, sometimes barely visible but it normally stays on there. I had this problem when I got pregnant. I got the clearblue digital tests and did two of them because I was convinced I was pregnant. They both said negative on the screen and I took it that I wasn't pregnant as they both had the same result. It wasn't until later, when I went to throw the test away and I pulled the stick out of the digital bit of the test I saw a VERY faint blue line on both of them, like the original clearblue tests. If there is two blue lines, no matter how faint then it has to be positive as there is nothing else that can cause that reaction in the test other than a very rare form of tumour so I went to the nurse the next day and she confirmed it. I still have the tests and you can still see both blue lines though so they shouldn't go away if its possitive.

Thanks for your replies. I took the test earlier and when I look at them now the line has completely disappeared so I guess it's definitely negative. It wasn't even a vertical line like the diagram depicted, it was horizontal and ran through both windows so I think it was just the moisture passing through and stayed for a bit.
