i missed my period and so went to the doctors a week later. she gave me a pregnancy test which was negative. i then went back a week later for another test. negative again. i dont have any symptoms of being pregnant other than my missed periods. the nurse gave me a blood test and i am waiting the results. these pregnancy tests are 99% sure and even she was a bit suprised they both came out negative...what do you think?

that you probably arent pregnant?  when do you get the next results?
It took 3 pregnancy tests for me to get a positive answer, but that doesn't mean you are pregnant though. Periods can be late for loads of reasons.

the pregnancy tests are as accurate as you can get - especially the blood test. A missed period can be caused by lots of things, for example: change in diet, weight loss, stress, increased activity levels..depending on how many periods you've missed, and how worried you are - suggest going back to the doc's and finding out if he has any ideas why you might be missing periods

I honestly was 12 wks pregnant by the time I got a positive result. You can imagine how many tests I had and how pxxxed off the Dr was when I came in yet again. How his attitude changed when at last my hormones succumbed and decided the joke had gone on too long!!!Son is now 21.
My first pregnancy test was negative, another 6 weeks later was positive, but when I had a scan I was informed that what I thought was a 8 week foetus was in fact at least a 16 week foetus, so the first test was wrong.
