Tried on my swimming costume, thinking ahead to France in May. OMG, back to the drawing board :/
Spent time in a Sainsbury’s cafe eating a sausage batch (yuk, never again) and drinking a very, very nice Starbucks latte.
Ironed two of his shirts, one of mine, and a pair of his jeans. That’s my months worth of ironing sorted :)
Will put the kettle on shortly for a cuppa to have with an M&S chocolate eclair which will make getting out of bed today worth the effort.
How much more exciting can life get..that’s a challenge for you!

It's the first of the month ... so it's been Spreadsheet Day - managing finances for two people across two countries and a whole raft of banks, pension providers and utilities is 'interesting'.

But we continue to be solvent, so I might have a pint later after my Irish Language Class.

I've also been cooking - a big lump of spiced brisket is gently bubbling, to be chilled overnight & eaten at a celebration meal with friends tomorrow.
today is my first day back at work, and after being told not to make any big decisions for a bit (on here) following my head injury, i receipted £225k on one of my contracts :)

Will that be your Faith supper? I had to look it up as I immediately thought it was something religious, and then I remembered how gness feels about the church so realised it couldn’t be ;o)
Question Author
Oh well, you can always claim you weren’t totally right if the contract goes pear shaped, bednobs. Are you feeling back to normal?
Today, I have spent most of my time swearing under my breath ---
yes, I was setting up my new printer! Wish you had been here, Chris!
not 100% yet, but better than last week, thanks
Bednobs, I didn't know about your accident until yesterday. I'm sorry that happened to you and it's good to hear that you are on the mend.
Question Author
Ok Tilly, that’s enough with the sympathy, let’s hear what exciting things you’ve been up to today ;o)
Whereabouts in la belle Francais are you going, Vagus?
Question Author
Ile de Re.
Been before, supposed to go last year but had to cancel.
Do you know France at all Zac?
I know bits of it, Vegas. We drove to a Eurocamp near Cap d'agde one year, then to the Dordogne another year (when it was 38 in the shade - tooooo hot). I went to Paris many many years ago but have also visited Lille, Amiens, Clerment Ferrand.
Oh, and Carcasonne!
Vagus:-
Walking the dog in what felt like a gale.
Shopping for tonight's evening meal. (We needed some red wine)
Made sandwiches for dinner.
Vacuumed the house until the battery ran out.
Ordered sun protection swimwear for our holiday.
Another walk later.
Cook dinner.
Open wine.
Watch second episode of The Snow Girl.
Finish wine.
Go to bed.

Well, you did ask!
Question Author
wow, Tilly, that’s a full and exciting day!
What does your sun protection swimwear consist of, I’m curious?
Tried on my new bra that came this morning, and it fit! Hoorah!..
Didn't get up very early, just pottered about until it was time to pick my grandson from school. Usually go down in car but walked today, about 20 min. I felt so much better for doing it. Now amusing him, whilst having a cup of tea and snacks. Probably play cards in a minute. So quite an exciting day :-))
Not the Faith Supper, Vagus - that's in a couple of weeks time.

This is to celebrate some good health news which one of our best friends got yesterday - and is also an excuse to raid the darker corner of the cellar for a special bottle.
A bit like a wet suit but made of sun protective, SF 50 material. Long sleeves, full length legs and a hood to pull up if necessary.
I don't do sunshine.

We’re the same, Zacs, know bits of it, mainly south of Beziers on the med coast, used to spend a lot of time in that area. Always meant to go to the Tarn Gorges but never did manage it.
We did lots of Eurocamping when the children were small, ideal for them and us, mainly round Sarlat in the Dordogne. Happy days :)
Indeed! We visited Sarlat & Perigueux from our base in a small campsite at Sauvaterre la Lemanc. Heaven.

A bra that fits is always exciting, patsy. I’m on the point of needing to find some too. Wish we lived close enough to pick our grandchildren up from school.
Didn’t think you needed an excuse to pop a cork, Dave ;)
That seems a bit extreme, Tilly, but I can understand your need for it. I’ve only recently graduated to a swimming costume from a bikini, I like my skin exposed as much as possible.
