that I get a genuine bargain in the supermarket...least of all Sainsbury's.
But today I got 3 packs of fish for the grand total of £3.07...usual price £12.25.
1.24 for Loch Trout fillets, normally 5.00, 94p for Cod fillets, normally 3.75, and q89p for Sea Bream fillets, normally 3.50.
Now which for tonight, and which for the freezer...?
I'm opting for the Sea Bream as it's quite delicate.

If the guy has got any sea bream left when I get down there, that's usually what I go for.
My best bargain in Sainsbury's was when I bought a £3 ready meal for 50p. However, when I came to cook it, I noticed that there was an error on the packaging. (The instructions for cooking from fresh and cooking from frozen were both labelled 'cook from fresh'). So I sent the packaging to Sainsbury's Customer Services, pointing out that I wasn't complaining about the product itself but just letting them know about a packaging error. They withdrew the product from all their stores until they could get their packaging reprinted and sent me a £10 voucher for letting them know. Not bad for a 50p meal, which I'd really enjoyed anyway ;-)

I love black pudding with seafood - but an alternative - I'm assuming that you can find Cornish products over on your side of the Tamar? Try substituting Hog's Pudding for Black Pudding - and then there's a wonderful variant, if you can get your sticky paws on it, Hog's with red chilli in it - seriously delish and not overpowering!
