Did anyone else notice that when Tyrone and Kevin were talking in the garage in the first episode, it was raining outside. Yet in the next scenes, Neil and Tim were up on the roofs in dry weather. Bit crazy that!

I did!

And did you notice that Kevin now has a Liverpudlian accent?
Well it might just be possible.

There have been only two occasions when I've seen a 'sharp edge' to the coverage of a rain cloud but I remember them both well.

The first was in Ipswich, when I was in my teens. Coming down Bishops Hill it was bright and sunny up until a clearly defined line, beyond which it was gloomy and pouring with rain. People were walking backwards and forwards between the two zones, just as if they were walking in and out of a shower. (i.e. you could stand still at one point on the pavement and be perfectly dry, in bright sunshine. Just two paces forward would take you into pouring rain. Two paces backwards would take you back into the dry again. There was no gradual transition; two people could be standing a yard apart with one person getting a sun tan and the other one getting drenched).

A few years ago I saw something similar while driving on the A14, so maybe Weatherfield was experiencing the same freak conditions? Or, of course, there could just now be an unemployed continuity assistant who used to work for Granada!
;-)
Made me laugh that no-one rushed to help Andrea when she slipped on the roof - it was ages before anyone even went towards the ladder on the floor.
They could have got a sheet to catch her in like they do in fires.
I thought it was the most ridiculous episode ever, and there have been a few unbelievable ones just lately. Does anyone REALLY care about Andrea anyway?
paulllambert
i with you on that one Paul just plain ridiculous the whole "on the roof" story pure farce
Completely agree...ridiculous episode (could have let Tim get down at anytime, so the 'comedy' element was pointless.
And no one cares about Andrea.
Oops dropped my )
Corrie's always had a bit of farce now and again - remember Les and Cilla's jacuzzi falling through the ceiling with them in it and Reg's waterbed bursting?

I must admit to being disappointed. I was rather hoping that Andrea was going to pull her husband off the roof and end the whole stupid storyline for them both. Unfortunately they are both gymnasts of gold medal standard and he rescued her from an impossible situation. Better luck next time!
And Sallys 'flu' voice.......deserves an award all of its own!!!
Dreadful, and just shows that when these 'Ac-tors' have to actually 'act' rather than just read lines........they cant do it!
Ive been an 'Extra' for years on the northern soaps, and have first hand experience that these numbnuts sound exactly as they do off the camera as they do on! Hence.......not acting just reading lines
Lots of actors use their own speaking voice in every role - Sean Connery is one.
I noticed the rain scene as well. The continuity department clearly not paying attention to detail.

Oooo Curlyperm, what soaps have you been in or aren't you permitted to reveal?
Didn't notice the rain situation, but I hated that roof storyline, went on for far too long and as for Dev not letting Tim have the ladder because Liz said so, I thought was daft! I do like Andrea though, although I think the pairing of her and Lloyd doesn't ring true.
and did you notice that after she was pulled onto the roof they were about 2 metres away from the edge but then in the next scene they were close to the edge again!
I didn't notice the rain either. I agree with Supermike..:)
Shame they didn't both jump!!
Totally agree with everyone.A pointless story line as no one cares about Lloyd, Andrea or Tim. Also thought that Sally's 'flu' voice was awful.
Does anyone think Kevin and Sally will end up back together?
I don't think so. Sally sees Molly every time she looks at Jack!
True - but wasn't Sally warming to little Jack just before Kevin went to Germany to look after his dad?

(Before anybody says it....yes, we know it's not real - "Kevin" was on an enforced vacation).
