Which church? CofE, Methodist, Catholic, etc
As Hc4361 indicates, it makes a great deal of difference as to which denomination is involved!

Here's what the Church of England says:

Sorry CofE. We are going to a wedding tomorrow where both parties are divorced, my next door neighbour said we must be going to a blessing, but we believe it is the full ceremony, as both people are church goers e think that the Vicar has the final say.
Yes, in C of E it is the decision of the vicar.
As my link explains, it's a local decision for the parish priest.

Thanks ubasses, that;s what I thought, sour grapes I think.
Still, languara? Either they can now and couldn't before or they can't at all.
The CoE are so desperate for adherents they'll bend the rules are far as it needs.
Surely if the ideas don't stick with people they're not adherents?
