Oh Daffy, I am sorry to read that, not easy at all for you - I didnt have a 'family' as such, I was fostered..hence i couldnt wait to leave...blood really is thicker than water.
I'm still there... i'm 20 and need out!! Someone buy me a flat :)
19....to get married. Widowed after 30 years, now living on my own.
18 to go to poly (uni for thickies!) - i would've gone earlier but the cow of a step-mother made me do A levels !
not soon enough ... had to live with parents after getting married because of money! yuck!
I left family home when I was 20/21 to move in with my boyfriend
I left at 18- almost 19 to get married. No going back home, "you've made your bed you lie on it". So after 51 years I'm still with Him. Anyone got a spare room?
13, to go and live with my Nan & Grandad. I spent more time with them than my Mum anyway...
23, the reason? Because mum told us we were all to be out by time we were 23 lol. I lived on my own next door to redcrx

Finished high school at 18-the norm in the US. Then went to art school for 2 years and could not afford to move out. Then my dad became ill...as the last at home,I stayed on until almost a year after he died.Mum was devastated to see me go...but I was desperate to be on my own by then.
18

Because I went to Uni, and then I was an adult.

Although, I was at boarding school from 11.
18, to work at (and live-in at) a Lake District hotel

Another reason for leaving at 18 was that I was an adult

Parents bring up kids to prepare them for adulthood, not to have their kids leech off them by overstaying their welcome
↑ always the charmer!
17 to become sixth girl Fulham and so be closer to work in central London.
21,To get married 50 years ago.
20. Bought a flat with my then fiance. We got married then split and he moved back to his mum's. I've stayed one night under my parents' roof since I left and only because my house keys were locked in my work - couldn't imagine moving back in with them. Ever.
which hotel, joeluke, family were in the restaurant/tourist business.....?
I used to pedal fresh veg and frozen food to hotels when I was a stud (McClures in Bowness-on-Windermere - who are still going.....)
23 - new job elsewhere
18, when I joined the Army.
