hi, ive got another appointment at the hospital in a week (will be 34wks) to talk about the delivery of my baby again, i have asked for a planned csection as my first labour was a nightmare and ended in an emergency csection. i am now terrifed of trying naturally again but i feel as if im being pushed into trying for a natural birth even after saying that i dont want to a number of times. can they refuse me a c section even after having an emergency one before??
PLEASE HELP....NEED ADVICE!!

if there is a reason to suspect that this birth may end up anything like your first then i cant see why they would even try to refuse you.

But i suppose it really depends on the reasons for the first c-section.

are you under a consultant with this pregnancy? or just midwife?

my 1st labour went ok until it was time to push and my baby turned itself around and got wedged, they tried everything but he was not moving for anyone! after a while they had to rush me to have to csection and it was awful not really knowing what was going on around me from being so exhausted, after the section i lost to much blood and had to have 2 blood transfusions and wasnt able to see my baby son for 5hours after the birth.
this time i wanted to be in control and not have the risk of it happening again but they seem so against it.

sorry forgot to mention....i am seeing both conusultant and midwife.
well it sounds as if it was likely to be just that pregnancy (as opposed to small pelvis or other complications) so i can see why they may try and persuade you to deliver naturally, you know what reovery is like for c-sects too.

But if you are really that scared of natural labour then stand your ground. Try and speak to a different consultant and see if anyone else would back you up on your choice.

Im not sure if itd work but the stress you are under worrying about delivery cannot be any help at all in last weeks of pregnancy.

good luck
