Yes, the eggs are transffered through the child with worms scratching as the child will most certainly have an itchy bum! The eegs will be under the fingernails and as your little girl holds her hand, she will also me putting her hands to her mouth etc!

The child has to be treated to get rid, or there will be a vicious circle!
its quite likely your child has already been infected just to be on the safe side go to the chemist and get some pripsen and get all the amily to take it too as worms are very virulant and will pass around your family like wildfire
Worms come out of the anus when it is dark and the body is still i.e. when you are asleep. They lay their eggs around the outside of the anus. If you really want to know if your daughter has them, rather than give her medication, check on her at night with a torch - be quick because as soon as you shine the light the worms quickly crawl back in. They are white and very, very thin. Little girls can get them in the vagina aswell so they need treating quickly. A sign of this is a slight discharge in their knickers
or just have a good look when they poop, you will see them in the toilet
Noooooooooooooooooooo don't make them drink pripsen. I remember having to drink that when I was wee and the thought still makes me physically heave. I had to buy worm treatment for work a couple of years ago and they do tablets. I think they're called ovex or something similar.
Don't worry Prispsen comes in nice, chewable tablets now. I remember that revolting drink - wasn't it pink?
It's not pleasant, but do as toby99 suggests. They clear up quite quickly with tablets. This other little girl will need treating too. In fact when we found them on one of our boys last year we all took a tablet!
