You may mock, but people get sucked in and they end up on skid row without a pair of Y fronts to call their own.
Yep....I know from personal experience and as a result will not gamble, not even on the grand national. Although I was gutted once when I saw a horse called Mr Moriarty at 20-1, wanted to put some money on it but wouldn't.....and yes it won

btw....it wasn't me who gave me the personal experience
My old best mate from school used to go on slot machines when we were early teens...he always won........

I lost contact for a couple of years when I did my Alevels.....he got on to horses.......would put 50 on a horse, on a few races in a day....and he always seemed to lose....its ok losing coppers...but not that sort of money ,especially when u dont have it
I don't get gambling, never appealed to me.

Dont get fruit machines (the attraction or how to work them) and never really got my head around odds.

My mate ran a bookies and one day lt me put some silly little bets on, 10p etc... but didn't anything for me.

I like card games and always been quite good at them but never play for money. Even things like Bingo, I don't get caught up in the frenzy, find it quite bizarre in fact!
i dont gamble at all and i have never ever been into a bookies nor do i know how to work slot machines bar putting money in and watching the things go round???

the only flutter i ever have is heads and tails with customers over a bit of discount....... they think its funny and it makes for good relationships??
i have many vices but gambling is not one, i'd rather have 10 and know i've got 10, i was going to bet on brighton winning the league at 60-1, no chance i thought, they did, worse still, the same thing happened the next year
I do put a 1 or 2 max on the odd footie match.
hi my name is bob and i am a gambler *looks at floor*

brave of you to come out Roberto!
sam querrey at 3/1 to beat robredo at the aussie open is worth a quid
I guess gambling is wrong for those people who get addicted to it.
Like alcohol is harmful to an alcoholic.
But I've never really been into it. I had an occasional flutter, but I usually lose - so not much to keep me interested.

I did however win 80 on one of the matched in this years World Cup - I bet on the result of the England v Sweden (?) and got it right. Queer fluke!

but what could you buy with that quid roberto? A big mac? A bottle of ownbrand Coke/ 10 pairs of socks in Preemark
sorry - SHEER fluke!
I have never been in a turf accountants in my life. My god have you seen the peasants in there (from walking past, that is and trying to breath through the blanket of rolled up tobacco smoke escaping from the doors).

However, I have bet on the horses at the courses, so I suppose that is gambling. I do not understand all the hand signs though. Nor do I look at form etc. I simply go with the best sounding name at the time.

But I gamble on the stiock exchange. Is it any different really????
I've never been in a bookies - I placed my bet online, infact, I don't think I ever withdrew my winnings...
you never see many poor bookies..................
I know a professional Gambler....and he's pretty well off
when i go out with me mates in portsmouth we use the local casino, only for the cheap beer and late drinking though
