Hi,

Its perfectly normal for babies in the womb to get hiccups so dont worry. My son (10 months today) was constantly hiccupping when i was pregnant. Now he still gets them when hes coming up to feed time.

I dont know why they do it but many do so its not something to be concerned about. Some midwives will also say that babies dont hiccup but you and I know theyre wrong and so do many other mums.

Pid Junior used to hiccup loads when he was in the womb. Certainly doesn't seem to have done him any harm (although he does seem to be quite prone to them now, poor little thing...)
my first used to hiccough all the time to, something to do with all the chilli pasta I used to eat I suppose. It didnt happen at all with my second though.
oh yes, they do hiccup in the womb. my little girl is 3 months old and i use to watch my tummy with hiccups. she does so now for what reason i dont know but hey she is one happy darling
