My 7 month old baby has no teeth yet and I'm becoming mildy concerned! Theres not even a sign of them appearing either.

Am I likely to be buying her a food blender for her 18th at this rate???

My daughter didn't get any teeth until she was 15months and she didn't walk either- she's ok though.

Thanks neti, I was only mildly concerned as I said, It just p***** me off when my friends say their children got theirs at 3 or 4 months etc......lol

Hi Boo dont worry about it.  My daughter had about 4 teeth by 4 months old but my son was about 9 months old before he started getting them.  Like neti's daughter he was quite old (17 months) before he started walking.
I have heard BOO that the later the teeth come the stronger they will be.  Could be an old wives tale.  I wouldn't worry though.  My youngests permanent front teeth took about 6 months to show after loosing the others.  Christmas came and went and still no front teeth.  And that was all she wanted.

<groans at Peri's joke> ;)
BOO don't worry.....my nephew didn't have any teeth at all until about 13months, but he's got a fab set of gnashers now!   Also, don't underestimate what a baby can chew/grind with their gums, especially as they produce copious amounts of saliva which helps to break down the food.  Once your wee one is established on solids, I'll bet she has a good chomp on pretty much anything - it certainly didn't stop my nephew.
My eldest son didn't have any teeth until he was 9 months old, and I believe my Sister-in-law was 17 months before she had any teeth!
All my 4 kids were a year old when they teethed.

Hi boo, speaking from experience as a second time mum, when i read from peri i totally agree my mum said i didnt have any teeth until 9 mths old i am now 38 and still have 4 baby teeth!. my oldest johyan had his 1st when he was 10mths old my 2nd harvey who is 6 mths is due any day for his to pop through. my mates little girl had 5 by the time she was 4 mths and my other mate who is a midwife said she has seen them born with teeth, saying that her little boy is 3 1/2 weeks younger than mine and he already has 4 teeth! dont worry they will come when they are ready every chld is different.

Ah don't worry - all kids develop at different rates. It's so hard not to get involved in "Baby Olympics" though....

I have a friend who has a daughter the same age as mine and I mentioned that I was going to start Potty Training. As soon as I said that, yes you guessed it, she started Potty Training her daugther and I immediately felt like I was in competition with someone on "who was going to potty train successfully first". It really annoyed me as I think its petty, plus her daughter has been completely successful and accident free since virtually the start, and mine still has accidents though less now. But I just let my daughter go with the flow (pardon the pun) and do it in her own time.

The key is to try to relax about many things regarding your kids cause they really pick up on stress and it makes them stressed too. Anyway following that little rant.......

Some kids are born with teeth ... some, like people have said on here, don't have any teeth till they're 15 months.

You can't force potty training and you can't force teeth to come through - they'll come through when they're ready - look at it this way, at least she can't bite you ...... yet!!!

Dont worry about it. They will come when they are ready
