Does anyone else find this site addictive? Once I start looking at various questions and answers or posting questions of my own, I find it really difficult to log out and switch off. Perhaps I should just give myself half an hour at a time.

LOL, Tilly, that's so funny. I'd been thinking of posting exactly the same question. Yes, it most definitely is addictive.

I've been thinking of making a suggestion that we have a section for the AB addicts' self-help group, but I guess that would be a bit counter-productive.
ha ha ha I'm still waiting to turn off the p.c. and get washed and dressed!
been reading a few posts and yes, it really is addictive x lol
Many things are addictive. Yes I think it a good idea to keep an eye on time whatever you are doing, to ensure you aren't getting hooked.

I leave it on and keep coming back to it. Just off to hang out my washing.
Tilly, No it is not addictive......very much......a lot ok it IS !!!
AB: remember, just say 'No'!
Once you get on it's really interesting and fun and on occasions very helpful, and it's surprising what you learn. One time we had a problem with a laptop, came on AB and the help and advice we received solved the problem in no time. Most people are friendly and helpful. For people alone it must be a godsend sometimes to have someone to talk to and have a laugh. I'm not addicted but I would miss it.
I'm addicted - there I've said it now!
It s a good thing I have to go out to work, otherwise I could be on here for hours. Im now at work but only half hour break which is a good thing too. Sometimes I forget what time it is as I get so engrossed in whats going on. Yes Im addicted and I love it ♥
(stands up and clears throat.....ahem)
" My name is Smowball and I am an ABaholic "
Well done, Smow, that's the first step to recovery
Who wants to recover?

I like the chit-chat, reading gumff which sometimes makes me think, reading the jokes and if I can offer help and or advice I'll do so. ♥
I'm a bit worried that Tilly hasn't come back from hanging out the washing. Should we send out a search party?
good point Kiki. Maybe she's been held hostage and isn't allowed back here for a good few hours??
I was addicted when I first joined (2006) but I've had a couple of mini breaks and I'm not on here as much as I was back then. At the time I was off on long-term sick and occupied myself on AB practically all day and most nights. I don't get time to come on AB when I'm at work but I've got the day off today.
alba - I'm worried that she might be trying to go cold turkey and is sitting in the garden shaking and chewing at a pillowcase or summat.
Maybe she has put pegs on her fingers to stop her using the keyboard!
<shudders> Kiki, Smow, what if she's gone and bought AB patches or AB gum??!!
Yes, she has put a patch over each eye so that she cant see the screen !
