Why not a pen (or something else) with the date of their wedding engraved on it so the groom won't forget their anniversaries?
champagne............. matching key rings..............
We gave bookmarks and keyrings as our wedding table favours - so I'm in favour of that idea! Ours were brass, but you can get white metal ones as well.
Large household address book
Beeswax candles
a wooden or other fancy box for keeping their wedding souvenirs in

I came across a wonderful thing - a calendar and every page has a symbol of the wedding with their name embossed across it. Just absolutely beautiful - very pleased with it - you know gold rings - first page second page beautiful hedge cut out with their names etc. I think they will like that more than the money because the sentiment is there. Hey thanks for your answers everybody
That sounds lovely, connemmara!
Connemmara, that sounds very similar to something we received for our first (paper) wedding anniversary and we were thrilled with it - so much so that it still hangs on our wall even though its a 2010 calendar!
