If you are selling stuff to be sent by post on Ebay, what is the best way to calculate how much postage should be paid? Do you pack it up and get it weighed in advance of selling it?
Thanks

what we do is weigh the item on the kitchen scales (or bathroom if its heavier) and look up on the royal mail website how much it should be, if your using heavy packaging (big boxes etc) add however much you think it would weigh.
hope that helps :o)

Yep, I do the same as purplefish :-)

Thanks . Think I will stick to selling small stuff if I can!
another way is to do a search of the same item that you are going to sell and check out what they charge for postage.
