If I leave my old account open, whilst using my new account with my new bank. Does the old bank run at a loss on this?? Is it detrimental to my credit rating??

Depends. How much in old account? If a lot, and it's inactive, Bank gains- they like docile and inactive customers' funds. No effect on credit rating, which relates to your debts and financial commitments only.

Thankyou for your response! Literally pennies in account. Could be handy to have open for cheques as my New Bank doesn't have a local branch for miles. Thanks again!
