I had this recently when someone was trying to use my card. An automated Lloyd's service text and called me regarding transactions. I googled to see if it was a scam. Many people had reported it as a scam with comments along the lines of "Lloyd's Bank, yeah right!"
I spoke to Lloyd's later on and they confirmed that it was a genuine number and that many people assume it's a scam and don't cooperate.
Thanks .I ordered an item on line payment was declined although money in bank I got a phone call and email phone call on that number saying they were Royal bank and asking for card number I replaced receiver .Neighbour looked number up on google which said it was a scam number .I phoned bank on their number and they said it had been them checking to see if it was me .Spent 2 hours being put through to different departments in a queue and was not amused .
