its a new week, where does the time go, i hope that things are fine with you and that you have a good day whatever you may be doing. I enjoyed the picnic and drinks with a friend yesterday, made a nice break - there is a last picnic next week which i might go to, will see as the weather wasn't all that good. It started raining, which is when i repaired to the local tavern.
Good morning emmie. Your doing a sterling job with GMEB. It’s nice to read that you get out and about seeing friends and having picnics, even with sciatica giving you hip. Is it easing at all. Is your flat now to your liking, furniture wise? I often read your posts, you sound a lovely lady. I cannot respond to this post as I’m going back to sleep. I only got up for the loo. I wish you well.
morning David, thank you for your lovely post, it's most welcome.
hip is still painful and i considering the next option if there is one.
have a good sleep
the chores are on the way, washing on which won't take too long, then see how the day unfolds. I have a friend calling me later today around 5 for a chat and so the day is mine essentially. I will see what the weather does, as i am unsure of todays forecast, though the weatherman last night said we are in for some nice weather, which will certainly make a change.
Hi Emmie, rained most of today, a pleasant change. A bit more to come tomorrow.
Might do a bit of gardening come Wednesday, ground should be soft.
Hope you get a bit more summer before it disappears.
Doing ok thanks.
Slow cooker has been simmering, easy meal prepared for tonight.
Watching a pair of King Parrots trying their best to empty the bowl of seed.
Very pretty birds.
that's good, we had parakeets in the trees out the front of the building some while ago, the noise made me go out on the balcony, and there were these large yellow/green birds. I couldn't identify them, so put the question on AB, and various people came back and said it's likely they were parakeets.
Lamb shanks in Korma curry paste with potato, sweet potato, pumpkin, green beans and cauli.
I'll add a splodge of coconut cream and serve with Basmati rice.
Guess you haven't thought about an evening meal yet.
i haven't, but have been having ready meals for a time, must get back into cooking again, which i seem to have forgotten much of what i have picked up over the years. Its likely to be ham gratin with green beans and potatoes in a cheesy sauce.
Sounds good to me.
I cook all the evening meals here. Enjoy cooking most of the time.
Sometimes I find it frustrating coz I can't think what to make.
That's usually when something totally random gets tossed together from leftovers;-/
when i was feeling somewhat poorly before Christmas, then i stopped cooking, as i couldn't face it, so just ordered in ready meals because that's easy. Sainsburys do a large range and i often have something unusual for my dinner. Like the paella or chicken with lemon sauce, all very nice. It gives a variety, that i can't do myself. It's a tad lazy i know, and i will have to start emptying the freezer, as it's full.
Nothing wrong with a good quality heat and eat.
It's difficult to buy ingredients and cook for one unless you want to eat the same thing day after day.
