I am looking for an insurance company that will provide health insurance for a period of six months away and will cover over 65's.
Most of them only cover travel and then only for short periods.
I would preferably like an English company.
Your comments appreciated, thanks.

Sorry, the country in question is the USA.
Thanks for the linkm am checking it out right now.
Someone suggested Freedom Health, but not a lot known about them.
I'm not going to recommend any particular company but I hope that I can increase your chances of finding a suitable policy by suggesting that you google 'long stay travel insurance'. (I've just tried it and found lots of possibilities but I can't see any way of selecting any particular links for you to try).

(I note though that Staysure offers cover for travel to the USA, for a maximum period of 6 months, for those who're aged between 66 and 70: https://www.staysure.co.uk/long-stay-travel-insurance/ ).
Have you looked at Saga? Think they specialise for older age group. Not sure about length of cover and pre-existing conditions
Good luck with this as I said on another thread it’s a pain in the bum trying to do this at a certain age
