you may think this should be over in health, but bear with me please.

I found the cause yesterday evening and it's not a rash - it's the kitty-cat.

He sits, well, sprawls on the bannister/balustrade on the upstairs landing at times and will hijack a person after they come out of the loo if he wants a wee pet/cuddles by grabbing them with his claws on his left paw.

It's not malicious, claws are just out enough to get attention.

Daft kitty.

Anyone else have an interesting pet with odd habits?

wonky follows me everywhere..waits outside loo...lol.. he has to have at least half his body on me when on the couch for attention...sprawls over the keyboard...

lol, Minty, the waiting outside the loo is a timeless classic.
When the younger alba started school I thought I could 'bathroom' in peace, opened bathroom door and was met by 2 cats sitting outside.
The 3rd was off doing her own thing and really couldn't have been interested.
same in the kitchen he's at my feet all the time and have stood on his tail countless times.have to be wary when cooking and getting stuff in and oot of the oven lest I trip over him...

then there's his knocking at the door to get in

when you're in the kitchen, Minty, put him a baby-harness type doodah, papoose style :-)

Link not working, but I remember seeing similar from Wonky (think on a GM thread a while back)

At least he's polite, Kitty, just scweams and scweams til someone opens back door.

(no, can't get cat-flap, door not geared for one, besides, we'd probably have a load of his friends too !)
My two cats were quite placid most of the time, but they'd have a funny five minutes every day when they'd suddenly jump up and race round the walls of the living room like a motorcyclist on the wall of death. Just as suddenly it would be over and they'd curl up quietly again.

My son was a small baby at the time, and he'd laugh hysterically every time they did this. Never seen a baby laugh so much :))
wonky does that with sooty Clover !

wonky and sooty at play
I have an allergy to conifers, can never have a 'real' xmas tree.
Often got a rash and itching after a cat scratch or graze. Took me ages to make the connection that their litter was actually made from conifer sawdust and it was THAT on their feet giving me the rash.

blooming heck, ferlew, it's surprising what is in 'stuff' that we don't know about or unaware of.

How's you doing? Coping? xxxx
Yes thanks Alba, just wondering what to do with ALL this time I suddenly have, weird. Never realised how much time I spent caring.
I was lost for a couple of years after being full time carer Ferlew... make plans... reconnect with friends etc... not easy... big hugs xx
When our Staffy can't get attention any other way he climbs onto the tv table and stands in front of the screen.
Question Author
LOL Andrew, our Lucy used to either plonk her bony botty on yer foot or sit in front of tv and glare at M Alba :-)

Ferlew, it'll take time for you to find your new 'normal' xx
Question Author
Andrew? my deepest apologies andres

(clumsy fingers here)
My cat follows me everywhere too. Most days he will ' faint' at your feet, ready for you to massage his back! He likes my OH to give him a good ruffing up too! Although, cat will be about 2 ft away from him, Asif today, "If you want to rub my back, you come to me Mr"! Haha....
^^^^^^
As if to say...!
murph likes to sit on my head in the mornings and groom me, its bloody painful
Andres, our big cat does that too. I'm sure it's so we don't forget about him..lol!
