Got a form the other day from the tax man to say I owed £55.00.
Do I send them a cheque, or do they just take it somehow?

The letter should tell you That. If you are still paying tax they will adjust your code slightly to recover what you owe.

Thanks, will go back and read it properly instead of just looking at the last line as usual.

If you ARE gonna pay by cheque

make sure that the payment slip you include c the cheque is the one that applies to the £55

(if it goes into your account but the 'wrong account' they can deem it not paid and get another hundred knicker )
