tonyav: It just died and started getting really hot so I removed the battery (non removable batter) and whilst removing it the battery exploded.

Think about it, Dizmo. If you'd got in the way of the exploding battery you could have ended up in hospital - and we all know just how much you really love hospitals, don't we ;-)

anneasquith: because it was getting hotter and hotter. I wanted to remove the battery and let it cool down. I was also hoping that leaving the battery out all night it might reset everything and allow it to boot.

Ah right, Diz. The reason I asked what phone it was is because one of my mates at work had a similar thing happen to his phone, it was an i phone the battery fried !.
