Come, come Ed. Things have to be politically correct.
If they put may contain nuts it will be wrong. It definitely contains nuts.
Maybe it is because Monkey nuts (peanuts) are not actually nuts at all.
Really sorry to do this, hate it when people go off-topic, but could you please have a look at my question in 'Editors Blog' when you've got a minute, ed :-)
A label "monkey nuts" does not say that they are peanuts. Haven't heard them called that in years, nor groundnuts either; that may be since that the"groundnut scheme" was such a fiasco; and many people will not know that they are peanuts, to which those people may have an allergy.
Got some little butter pats in a national trust tearoom - label said 'contains milk'..... thank god for that. I thought it might be a peanut.

Oh for gods sake!!
Shouldn't they also contain an admission that they contain no monkey or stress that no monkeys were harmed in their production?
