I bought an item with a credit card in Sept 2000 and now want to claim compensation. I have the visa receipt with the card number but dont know which card I used. How can I find out which Bank issued the card. The 1st numbers are: 4508

I have a visa card that starts 4508.  It was issued by The Associates who are now Citi Cards.

Just curious but whatever it is has lasted nearly 5 years, do you think that you have a chance of compensation. Sorry if I've mis understood.

I'm afraid that you have missed the deadline for a any claimfor this item under the limitations Act - remember what you are actually claiming for is for a breach of contract between you and the credit card holders - bit late in the day!
