Hi,

I have been out of uni about 3 yrs after doing an ,Sc...which cost the earth and am only now earning a decent wage...but have a fat overdraft, 4 credit cards and a career development loan to pay off!! I'd love to take out a loan to pay it all off but am starting to get rejected for creedit cards as I am simply transferring the balances once they become 0% and so they've obviously seen how many applications I've been making

I therefore need to contact a specialist company who genuinely want to assist me in sorting out my mess as opposed to them simply wanting to make shed loads of money from me.

Any advice very much welcome.

BTW I don't use the credit cards anymore...they got out of control when I was temping and having to use them for travel, interview costs, hotels, food shopping...you name it!

sorry sarah, but if you think there is a company who genuinely want to help you rather than making loads of money, you are delusional .... they are all in business to do business. i think your best post of call would be citezens advice or some indepensdent service
Unless you are really really desperate consolidating your debts is a BAD idea. You may land up paying less each month, but you pay it for years longer and pay a lot more in total the long run.

CAB would be a good idea.

Also try http://boards.fool.co.uk/Messages.asp?bid=5007 9 if the link works - despite the name it is one of the best sources of advice out.

If the link doesn't work (it may be dynamic - ie temporary) you are looking for the dealing with debt board.
