Ordinarily I can't stand strikes, unions and the whole shebang but I think they are doing the public a favour in this case by curtailing the sale of this muck from their "restaurants" - so credit where it's due, thanks, The Bakers, Food and Allied Workers Union, you may very well be performing a public service.

TTT....do you really think, that a strike at only 2 out of 1270 outlets are going to have any effect whatsoever ?
Well it will have an effect on the Strikers pay packet this week and it will have an effect on those that fancied a MaccyD today from those stores.
0.01% of the workforce hardly constitutes a collapse of McyDs.

But it's not about hours or pay it is about systems. So that's all right then.
The TV report made it clear there would be no loss of service as other team members would be called in to cover for the strikers.
All they have done is ensure MacDonald's will find a way to replace them with other workers.

I once ate a McDonalds (c. 1989, sprog's friend's party). Worst meal ever was a Burger King in the U.S.A..
I agree that zero hours contracts not a good idea for most people, but all this will do is ensure that the strikers get even fewer hours in the future. Strikes are not the way to tackle the problem.
I do like the occasional Egg and Sausage McMuffin for Breakfast !
