Ho hum when I get all my summer ice cream eaten up I think the scales will be kinder to me and to quote my hero Forest Gump, that’s all I’m going to say about that!
Down 1lb since last time. Pleasant surprise.
Very pleasant indeed OG. Did it just happen or have you been doing something?
Nothing special. Can't really these days. I eat what my partner eats and she isn't one for low fat/calorie foodstuffs. And since we often seem to miss out lunch, the necessary snacks don't help any.
All the weight I lost is back on apart from about 6 lbs, anti depressants being changed to one t h at has increased appetite and weight gain as a side effect, had to give up gym/pool can't afford to go anymore, shoot me now!
Morning All, Rowan I was so sorry to read of your dilemma. It really sounds like catch 22. How about going to google and finding some exercises that you can do in your home. Also a brisk walk is always a good fix.
Another idea is to plan your meals right down to your mid morning and mid afternoon “snacks. I’ve found this to help a lot. By planning I mean writing them down in a book. This has always helped me. Never do your grocery shopping when you’re hungry.
You were doing so well so you can find that mind set again. It’s still there believe me, you will just be doing things differently. I wish that we could use emojis here. You’ll just have to imagine a row of 4 leaf clovers.
When your mind is on food, you need to find an interest to capture your attention instead. Is there nothing you enjoy that you can immerse yourself in, in order to distract yourself ?
Trouble with depression the thought of doing stuff is a step too far, I have a Wii fit, resistance bands, dumbells, dvds and parks very near. I have a stock of great ingredients and I can cook, just don't see the point. Gp changing meds, but not optimistic. Suggested social prescribing but actual activities are still on hold and I hate online chat groups. Means I see myself on screen
Oh dear Rowan, years and years ago I had a “nervous breakdown” which today would be called depression so I know how depleting it is. I’m glad that you have medical help. Mine made me strong and I’ve been able to conquer bad things happening to me since then. I wish the same for you. It will end.

Good morning all, finally the numbers are going in the right way. I hope that you’re all bearing up with the Covid-19. My cross stitching keeps me busy. What about you?
Finding time shooting by. Nowhere near any scales though.
Good morning all, my weight is fickle and that’s all I’m going to say about that today. My son had to cancel a planned visit for this Sunday because like you our Covid numbers are going the wrong way so I pulled out the junk food on my grocery order....we were going to pig out. Now in my mind that act of courage deserves a loss of at least 1 kilo here and now. Doesn’t it?
Good evening all, I just discovered that it’s Wednesday.......was watching the debate on CNN so it’s a bit of a zombie day.
Needless to say the scales were forgotten.
Reached some scales yesterday. They told me that I'd gone down considerably since the last weighing. Unsure I believe it as I'd had a rare pizza the previous evening, and thought that I'd have bound to have gone up some. I will have to see how it is next time I can weigh myself.
