Hello all,

I heard the other day that fat-free salad dressing is one of the biggest "No No's" you can eat, mainly because of all the extra stuff they put in to replace the fat!

So as we are almost heading into salad season (even if the weather doesn't quite agree yet) how about some low calorie salad dressing recipies or even some interesting salads that might not need dressing?

We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.

Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

Oh gosh Jan. You must feel like a new woman! Well done you. How is the ankle?
I forgot to ask if you have started wobbling again Jan?
Thanks xstitcher, I do feel good. I'm the lightest I've been for 27 years. Just wish it had helped the ankle but still in a lot of pain and not able to walk far at all. Hospital are going to make me a shoe to see if it will help but not holding out much hope. Yes, I am back wobbling now, just for the last two weeks but think that may have made the difference.
Well done Jan what an achievment you have done and still managed to lose through your op. Hope you get sorted with a proper shoe to get you walking better.
Stayed the same again this week - but on the plus side, I measured myself, and have lost a couple of cm all round since mid Feb :)
Yew Taich is is possible to lose inches rather than weight some weeks. Good luck for next week.
The sweetie and nut stall at the market ALMOST got me today, but luckily common sense kicked in before I was able to buy anything to celebrate my one pound loss today..........what am I like !!!!!

Well done Maryjn a pounds a pound in the right direction. I wish I could shift one. But as I say I will get going better now the weather is getting warmer. Onwards and Downwards.

this has just made me realise; this time around I've not measured my waist (or anything else for that matter). Could have lost anything. Do realise, over the last year or so, my trousers have got looser and looser though, and some belts that used to be too small I can now use (just).
Stayed the same this week but after last time that's ok. Giving up chocolate and biscuits has helped and I don't feel as tempted now, but still get the evening munchies. Feel very positive for the coming few days and good luck to everyone for the coming week
Morning all - having sustained for some weeks, dismayed to find I have put on 3 lbs this morning, it must be the Chinese meal I had last night :-(
I don't measure myself....a throw back to when I was little and my mother was always measuring me because she made my clothes I think. Maybe I should give it a try....hmmmm

Giving up chocs and biscuits should definitely help out the shrinking process sheenamf.

I would definitely think your Chinese last night is the culprit but will hopefully right itself up if you stick to the straight and narrow as much as you can boxtops.

Sheenamf just liike me I have stayed the same last few weeks but I do keep away from the sweets and biscuits so that helps .I have a lrge box of sweets from Easter and not opened them as that is going to be my treat each time I lose. With salad meals now let's hope we can lose a bit
Boxtops I sometimes have a chinese at weekends but def not this week. If you be good from now till Weds you might just get away with it. Good Luck.

That's almost the same as thinking that drinking diet sodas are good for you. Consider more exercise, rather than dieting. When you add a good yoga routine to your day, you can actually eat more!
Ive had a few really bad days, two big macs and a piece of cheesecake during a 7 day period!! Im past that and back on track being strict and losing again :-)
After a trip to my shopping centre alone, I am standing myself in the corner with my head hung in shame. My conscience better known as Husband, was left behind. Had it/he been there I would never have piged out as I did. If I mention the name Whooper need I say more!
