Hello all,

I for one am glad to see the lighter nights and mornings, makes me feel that summer is coming! Who is up for an Easter egg hunt? Of course, you can use chocolate eggs or bags of sweets, but how about those little party favours instead to save the teeth and waistlines?

For those of you without kids just enjoy the long weeknd and maybe let yourselves have a little treat.

And by the way a big WELCOME to all our new users in the last couple of months. Good Luck and well done for taking the first step.

We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.

Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!

Here is last months thread

If I had the weight of another person to lose I'd just try to throw them off, then run away and give them the slip !

Oooh, Easter Egg hunt sounds good. I was thinking about doing one for myself, and putting little bottles of wine around the garden, instead of eggs. That would be better for the teeth, right? :P

On a serious note, I gave up alcohol for lent and it has made such a HUGE difference to my weight.
I'm also using the My Fitness Pal app to keep a track of cals, and it's really helping.

I agree, it's lush that the mornings and evenings are lighter. I dragged my bike out of the shed last week and went out for a nice, long ride. There was definitely a nip in the air, but it felt great to get some exercise and have a look around at things you miss when you're in a car.

mmmmm wine hunt, that does sound tempting. But probably a bit early in the day for a snifter :-).

Well done for giving up the plonk that takes some doing.

Good luck on the bike, get the heart rate going.
Lol. Yeah, I did think that. We'll have to wait another hour I reckon :-)

You'll know when Lent is up, as I'll start contributing utter broccoli to the late night song thread :P

So do we weigh on Wednesdays and post what we've lost?

Thanks Ed, I'm really going to try hard this time. I'd like to lose a stone by Little Tiggs's birthday in late May. Fingers crossed :o/

Cheers Ed.
Oooo I hope so Xstitcher. I need all the help I can get at the moment. I've reluctantly changed jobs 3 times in the last few months and finding it hard to settle. I've gone from managing a customer services team to becoming a PA for a very demanding Director and my head is all over the place.
Thanks Ed for our March posts. Welcome back Tigger yes it is difficult when routine gets changed.
Madmen yes we normally put our losses or gains up on a wednesday.
Well done Mallyh I psesume that's a loss over 2 weeks so well done.
Well done Mallyh. I wondered if anyone had come up with any more ideas for food that helps you lose weight. I've really enjoyed the sweet potatoes and kiwi fruits. (PS I changed my name from notafish in the username amnesty thing).
Back from holiday and back on the straight and narrow. I haven't put any weight on, amazingly, so hopefully I will have lost a pound by the time I do my proper weigh in on Saturday :-)
I just tried jazzing up the mashed sweet potatoes with a little bit of grated nutmeg......nice...
Mmmmmm Yum! Good luck for tomorrow everyone. I have a feeling I've put weight on.
I dont think ive done very well this week, and tonight I ( rare occasion) went to the pub and had two pints and two packets of peanuts.

Im bubbling around the 14 stone mark at the moment, one day above and the next day below. I think tomorrow I will be above :-(
