Christmas is on its way and this means over indulgence for many of us. However, as so many of you have done so well over the past few months will you be letting yourselves have some treats? Or will it be strictly diet all the way to New Year?

Here is last months thread

Life is too short to be denying yourself a little leeway over Xmas.
Ive lost 2 and half stone so far this year, and its been tough so no way am I putting it back on. I shall have my little treats but be really careful
That's what I said hmmmmm. This sliding back is easy and that is why it is sooooooo important to keep on weighing yourself once a week. By doing so you are putting yourself in charge.
Thanks Ed.

I agree with O_G....Christmas is a time for leeway but not glutteny...
Well said both and most important too to write everything down what you eat and it helps to do your shop for the following week.

Planning ahead is handy for controlling diet; it's just at Christmas planning ahead means picking all the awful things which we consider traditional!
I've let myself go the last few weeks but I'm going to get back on track after Xmas. I've done all the hard work and lost 4 stone so if I do put on it shouldn't be more than half a stone which I can shift quickly in the New Year.
Hi Tiggerblue I think we are all guilty of the extras we go for leading up to xmas. You cannot deny yourself this as you would be as miserable as anything. As long as you know you can shift it and have every intention in doing so you will be fine . I have been struggling saying the same lost 4lbs 2 weeks ago as I went strict strict with myself in healthy eating. Have a happy xmas.
The crazy thing is that I still don't know why I pigged out on mini mince pies. I don't even particularly like them...I wonder if it has something to do with memories of Christmasses of the past or something like that.
You are right Ed. some things need to be left until the last minute or they will be gobbled up in a moment of weakness...
Quite right Wendilla.

I pigged out on a box of Thorntons Classics yesterday and I don't even like boxed chocolates with fillings! I think it was purely because they were chocolates and were sweet so it had to be done.

Oooo mini mince pies. I could eat 10 of them :o)
Only 1lb loss this week but I am ok with that as have cheated a couple of times, vodka and a box of maltesers didn't help I don't think. It's still 3st 3lb so I am happy with that. Good luck everyone.
Well done again Jan. What you have to keep in mind now is not to undo the good work you have done. I have stayed the same but I have still got my 2 stone loss from last year. I need to stick at it week after week to get that other stone off but that will be after xmas now I am just not over indulging.
Staying the same is good too wendilla. I'm not going to go mad over Christmas as I don't want to undo all the good either (best go and take a few things off that Tesco order while I remember). Onwards and downwards in the New Year.
Hello Everybody, Our computer has been down until now so I couldn't get through with the good news....down 1½ kilos....about 3 lbs. I weighed myself yesterday because I thought it was Wed so I have been in a grand state since then.

Excellent news.

Personally, I am suffering from Pre-Christmas indulgences. I am running every day at the moment though.
Well done xstitcher and keep on running Ed.
Well done to everyone. I like reading all your posts even though I don't participate very often. I have had a stomach upset this week, so will probably get down to my goal weight again. I will try to stick at my goal weight this time and not get lazy. Good luck for next Wednesday everyone.
Hope your stomach bug clears up notafish, but if you go down then there is that positive side of it....lol
Thanks xstitcher, I'm feeling a lot better, and eating normally again now. :-)
Very pleased this week as lost 3lb which means now lost 3st 6lb. Went out last night and when I was getting dressed put a top on I hadn't worn for a while and it was too big and baggy! Better start sorting out some of the old clothes I put away cos they didn't fit. :-)
