Morning everyone. A bit late reporting in but I lost only 1 pound again this week. Unfortunately I have a few `dos` to go to next week. A funeral on Tuesday as I cant imagine the food after will be healthy. probably typical buffet and its a way from home so wont be able to get a proper meal during the day. And on Wed, our 37th Anniversery for which we will be going out for a meal after Ive been weighed of course. Just do my best.

Well done to you all and good luck xx

Hi TOH!

Funeral food is often very good in my experience - and saying things like "I'm trying to watch what I eat" at a funeral always sounds wrong. Or is that just me?

I reckon you're allowed a slice of cake at a funeral.

All the best,

Spare Ed
Thanks Ed. I`ll remember that. I promise I will be carful though :>)

12 lbs!!!!....respect!! =)
Slimming World does work - I lost 3.5 stone following their eating plan. I have gained some of that weight back so re-joined about 4 weeks ago and have lost half a stone. So stick with it redhelen.

well done redhelen. Im also with SW and found it so easy. I always do green as Im practically a veggie. Ive lost 2st 4lbs since September and feel great. Had to buy some new trousers and a dress for a funeral on Tuesday and have dropped 2 sizes.

Keep popping in as there are supportive Abers on here. good luck
Just re-read your post redhelen..............I really must learn to read thing properly the first time. Well done on 12lbs - I said it works didn't I. :-)))
well done red, I am not disciplined enough even to go to a regular class.... (and I resent paying the fee too, if I am honest). I have lost a stone in the last 12 months though and it's staying off - if you see me posting "same", that for me is good!

I'm aiming to be about 60kg by the time i'm 18. Plus about the time I am 18, i'll be starting at a different sixth form that'll have access to most of the sports centre, for msot of the time, for free :)
How much do you have to lose then, molly?
It only works out at a very doable ~ 1.5kg a month . . . But me thinks It'll be ahrder when I'm rowing which'll build a bit of muscle up but if my stomach, thighs and arms end up really toned i don't mind if it's closer to 65kg (but not over).
How much do you have to lose then, molly? 2lbs a week is the recommended target - but don't forget muscle weighs more than fat. You will however LOOK leaner with the exercise!
-- answer removed --
Red yes - I didn't phrase that very well. But you do get more muscle from exercise, and I understood that muscle is more dense that fat, so inch for inch it weighs more?

Now there's a surprise ;-)
Wow Helen, thats brilliant! Well done :o)

I've lost a stone and a ½ since beginning Jan. and I've got another stone and ½ to go before I get to my target weight. Hoping to lose at least a stone before Little Tiggs' first b'day on 22nd May.
