Allowed my sweet tooth to get the better of me & stuffed a Cadburys Chocolate Eclair in my mouth - well it looked lonely in the bowl on the conference room table.

I didn't remember them having crunchy bits in ... but that turned out to be the filling that it had just removed :+(

No pain - just a very sharp edge now busy destroying my tongue.

Dentist - Monday Morning .... wonderful :((

oh no!

That'd be my worst nightmare.

:-(
nip along to boots and get a dental filler - otherwise you will shred your tongue!

its brill as an emergency filler
Oh crap, that's why I don't eat those wonderful things anymore. I do fancy one now though.
Can't you get an appointment before Monday, dave.
Ouchy......

I think I may have some at home in the cupboard - in my foreign travel kit.

If not will be at Boots tomorrow morning ...
That happend to me a couple of weeks ago, only I thought it was a bit of tooth that came off and I chucked it in the bin, turned out it was an old crown (don't even remember having it done!) and if I hadn't thrown it away the dentist could have just glued it back on, instead I had to pay £209 for a new crown !!!
How permanent can those temporary fillings be?
Nail file? :-(
Where do you work where you get chocolate in the conference room? We got zilch.
Question Author
Could have got one on Friday, but not with my usual chap - wouldn't trust anyone else (unless in agony) ...
Question Author
Temp fillings can work B00 - but don't usually survive very long - last time this happened I just wodged a bit of chewing gum against the sharp edge whenever it got irritating.
Depends on how well you pack it in Boo

Wolf - it was an NHS meeting - but at a local Church Centre - I think they booby trapped the toffees for us heathens :)
NHS - wasting our money.

I was civil service - if the meeting was long enough we got tea and biccies but that was the limit.
Question Author
I was amazed - haven't had so much as a biccy from the NHS for years - I think the sweeties must have been left over from a previous church meeting ...
Dave, the solution is simple. When you fancy a toffee, take your teeth out first.

kaboom ... tish :)
The very same thing happened to me Dave. It was also a Cadbury's Chocolate Eclair. Dreadful things. Should be renamed Cadbury's Chocolate Extractors.
*How permanent can those temporary fillings be? *

my mates used them and she said they were rubbish.... they lasted a day or so at most.... she got sick of it falling out and having to do it again...
