i really want to be with my ex boyfriend.
6 months ago he broke up with me because i can't do pda's - i'm shy so just find it really hard.
we were together a year and had a long distance relationship because he is at college too far away to make frequent train journeys back and forth.
over summer break we've spoken quite a lot, nearly all the time i start the conversation, but mostly he continues it, and often makes hints that he likes me.
he said we should talk, but when we did we had both drunk too much and he ended up kissing me instead. i suggested we should do it another time, but the next day he didn't even answer me.
he is leaving again soon, and im really confused.
i want to tell him how i feel about the whole situation, but im not sure if i should as he will be going away again soon?

I can't imagin me not show affection when I'm out with my OH. Holding hands, the odd kiss on lips - some lingering, some just a peck. It shows the world that you love him and your proud to be his and not ashamed to show it.
Seems to me if he broke up with you, especially over something so trivial, then you may well be better off choosing to move on. It's not a case of there only being one in the whole world you can feel that way about. Just got to get out there and honestly look.

It's your choice of course, but whilst you still retain feelings of mending the past relationship, it'll be hard to note other opportunities.
I don't see why anyone should have to demonstrate to the world that they love someone; it's none of the world's business.

But this sounds like some sort of incompatibility; you can't do pdas and he can't live without them. You're going to have to find some sort of compromise if you want to go on. What exactly is it he wants from you, holding hands or tonsil-tickling? Is it really something you can't bring yourself to do sosber?
I'm obviously not up to speed on current dating trends.

Last time I looked a PDA was a Personal Digital Assistant........
