Female asking a guy out on a date

Has anyone had a successful outcome with this? I dread the idea of it, but sometimes you just have to grit your teeth or nothing ever happens does it?

Yup, done it twice only...one guy i knew had a crush on me, i liked him too, but he just didnt have the guts to ask me for a drink, so i casually said to him 'so, when are you taking me out for a drink then?'...i married him...
Another guy i liked was working behind a bar, and as i left the pub one evening (i didnt know if he was single or not) i went over to the bar and saId 'you make a love white wine spritzer', next time i went in there he came and sat next to me and bought me a drink.... :)

I agree with joeluke. And yes I've done and yes it's been fine. It's only a big deal if you make it so, it's no biggie to ask someone for a coffee or a drink, they can only say no and even if they did you know where you stand and the job is done.

I asked a guy out once, a nice couple of dates, piccies and dinner. Shared the bills. Didn't come to anything but I enjoyed his company, I hope he did mine. A pleasant couple of months.

It's all about plucking up the courage to ask someone out, men do actually suffer the same nervous thoughts about doing it too

At the end of the day if you don't ask him out you'll never know what the answer will be, so bite the bullet and go for it

Never done that, it just wasn't done in my courting days. If a guy didn't ask he wasn't interested enough. His loss.

I don't know him very well, Purple popple. I tend to see him in a situation when there are always other people around, where he works. He has shown interest. Someone told me he's changing his job very soon, so that probably means if I don't do something its kind of lost.
