Has anyone had a successful outcome with this? I dread the idea of it, but sometimes you just have to grit your teeth or nothing ever happens does it?

agree - ask him out - or you can ask me?
Is there a group of you that can arrange an evening out? Bowling or pub visit maybe. Get him to come along.
Women asking men isn't just a modern thing. I'm 52 this year and how I wish a girl would have asked me on a date when I was sixteen.

Women are a far better judge of chemistry than any man. Chemistry is about smell and it is to do with the immune system. Seriously a man with a good sense of smell is still inferior to any woman (unless she has severe head injuries).

Just do it. Your judgement is better than his.
Nope..no guts!! =)
A female should NEVER ask a bloke out on a date.......NEVER.

Through a natural biological phenomenon called "flirting" she makes her intentions known. Romance and flirting are prerequisites that the female sex has lost.

Pity really.
Now you know how us chaps feel!
Just ask me,I wont bite.
i waited for two years for a guy in our group of friends to ask me out and he never did.
In the end, i asked him.
It was difficult because i knew that if he rejected me, the atmosphere would change and i maybe wouldn't be able to stay in their company.
so i think i was very brave!
I could'nt cope with the rejection (:O(
As a guy I have always dreaded the idea of having to make the move. Never felt it was fair, after all we aren't all extroverts who don't care what the response is. High time the ladies took over I say.
Sqad I think you are assuming all men are as manly, gallant and have natural empathy with the fairest sex. Regrettably we aren't all as lucky as Mrs Sqad
I think the word 'desperate' comes to mind in a female asking out a bloke, but thats just my opinion. I couldn't do it.
sorry, got called away.
Anyway, he said yes and we've married for 20 years. Do it xx
glad you followed up your post crisgal - was just going to ask how it went
Squads pick up line would be :-
' If you were a car door I would slam you all night long ' ! :-))
when i asked him why he hadn't asked me, he said that he wanted to, but was too shy.
altogether now - ahhh.

soft b@stard!
<<<<<with the fairest sex>>>>>
sorry should be fairer
'He has shown interest' ... that's good yes? If Rodge is getting good body language from him then I would go for it ... I don't think it's desperate to ask someone out at all, although it requires a little confidence.
Den my darling
