my partner has always snored in his sleep, however its gotten so bad recently that it wakes me up and continues all through the night. hes tried virtually all remedies and has had no success. is there any truth in "raising your pillows" or does anyone else have any "workable" ideas or cures...........except suffocating him with the pillow of course.!!

Belated (on thread) hope everything goes well salla x

I waken myself up snoring loads -seem to go through spells of it so my OH says although he is one to talk!! So with the result the 4 days he is home neither one of us gets a good nights sleep and it takes us days to recover just from sleeping with each other never mind anything else! GP says i have sleep apnoea (?).ts very draining I have to say as its appears i only go into a deep sleep for about an hour a night.Seperate rooms would be my solution ibiza -its not normal sleeping with another person anyway:)
i actually like lying in the dark listening to my other half gently snoring away, makes me smile and i find it kind of reassuring. mind you, if it was a loud snore i'd possibly feel differently!
B all and end all tell him/her to lose weight. I shed three stone and lo and behold I stopped snoring

Really good earplugs for you, and weight loss for OH. It's the only way.

jesus christ theres some real *** on here, you ask a simple question and get (almost all) bloody stupid answers.!!. i thought this was a genuine website not a facebook back up.............
I did give you a good answer I asked about weight and mentioned weight loss working and it does. You didn't answer my question about weight though!!

Hmmmmpphhh
A sensible answer?...take him to the doctor. What works for one,may not for another.
what an offensive response from the QA. Not worth the time of day.
If all else fails after poking, prodding, ear plugs & attempted suffocation - sleeping in separate bedrooms is a good remedy for a decent nights sleep! ;o|
Just noticed that you thought almost all the answers you'd received were 'bl00dy stupid'! Now that wasn't very nice was it! Hope you manage to find a remedy though.

Sew a tennis ball into the back of his pyjama jacket ibiza - it'll stop him sleeping on his back!
