my partner has always snored in his sleep, however its gotten so bad recently that it wakes me up and continues all through the night. hes tried virtually all remedies and has had no success. is there any truth in "raising your pillows" or does anyone else have any "workable" ideas or cures...........except suffocating him with the pillow of course.!!

spare room?
Is he overweight and does he drink a fair amount?
Ex No 1 used to snore...........he now wears 2 of those anti-snoring rings and his current wife reckons they work. God knows how 'cos you wear them on your little fingers.
LOL - He sleeps with his fingers stuffed up his nose perhaps?

fatboy snores horribly i used to get up and go sleep in the lounge, luckily no longer have that problem :-)
Mr LL lost nearly 3 stone and the snoring has almost stopped! He wasn't fat but did carry excess round his middle. Any remaining snoring is stopped by a quick hard poke in the ribs to make him turn over.
And apparently I have started snoring a lot recently!!! Ha, ha. Bout time he had to suffer too.
A referral to an ENT surgeon may well identify a cause which could be treated by surgery.
sqad right...apparantly ...with my bad ear have been snoring ! ent ?
Right, I am referring myself to a retired ENT surgeon. He can pay the fare - he owes me £5,000 ;o)
lofty....LOL....for you....ANYTHING.
Sorry ibiza to interrupt - but, as sqad always tells me as he's on his knees begging, "I'll be very quick...."

Sqadlet - tomorrow the daughter has her next appnt with the Prof CS. Keep your fingers crossed for her. I'll keep my legs crossed (no chance anyway with him.....ifkwim) ;-)
salla...great ---keep me informed.
Good luck from me too Salla x
Snoring whist being a laughing subject for some can have some very serious effects.
Help on the subject can be found here...

Thank you.
Now back to ibiza. (By the way ibiza - I know how you feel, my ex snored terribly. Wee tried all sorts - laying on side, pillows, those nasal strips. I did try suffocation but he's a big man with big lungs.)
In the end I left him. But I have to add, his snoring was only 5% to do with it....
salla lol
