Aldi do a tube for mature skins.

And their stuff is good.
Norwegian Formula is brilliant.

The ads say it was designed for the sore, cracked hands of Norwegian Fishermen....

I use Vaseline for extra dry skin. Seems to do the job.
I like Atrixo, from Boots.
Neutrogena hand cream - I used to work outdoors a lot and got very dry and cracked hands, this stuff kept em smooth as a baby's bum!
Nivea Creme. Does not leave hands greasy and works very well. Non perfumed and very cheap.
I use Diprobase Not a hand cream as such but an all round cream for sore dry skin . Cured my spud peelers thumb a treat :) It acts like a barrier cream .
Gloves in a Bottle is good too, also a barrier cream .
Neutrogena for me, too - they do an unperfumed version. The golden rule for handcream is " a little and often". No use using a large amount once a day.

Very Many Thanks All and after passing on your answers, Neutrogena could be the one with which to start!...Many Thanks again.
You could try an emollient cream like cetraben. I've been using it on my baby's eczema and its doing my hands good too as I have dermatitis and very dry cracked skin.
Iv'e used them all ..but have you ever put lard on your hands and rubbed it in,even after you wash them they're still soft.
My other half swears by Alsi's Lacura hand cream - says it's much better than Neutrogena and a third of the price
Sorry - Aldi's Lacura
Atrixo is good for me
Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula is the best I've encountered. Their foot cream is superb too.
I use Nivea Soft for moisturising and Neutrogena to stop my hands from getting sore and cracked. Usually use the Nivea first and whne that has soaked in, allpy some Neutrogena if I'm likely to be in places where my hands will get rally cold
Boots No.7 Younger Longer - Time Resisting Hand Cream.

... so I'm reliably informed. :-)
