As a citizen of the UK and paying tax towards the wedding security costs , i deserve a day off I think. Been paying tax at a rate of 40% on part of my salary + NI since 1985 ...

I'm secretary of our sea fishing club and I'm under orders from the club that as soon as the date was announced I had to try and charter a boat for the day.The e-mail to our usuall skipper has already gone.
Well I went on a bit of a bender when C&D got married, so might do same. Problem is most pubs have TVs now and I can take a wild stab at what they will be showing.
As soon as I found out 29/4 was going to be a bank holiday I booked of the 26th, 27th and 28th - what with Good Friday and East Monday this means a total of 10 days off (including weekends) and only three days of my holiday entitlement taken up.
So I think we'll take the opportunity to have a foreign break somewhere hot.
