What do you think is the worst thing to step on while stumbling around the house making your way to the toilet at night in the dark with nothing on your feet?
I say an upturned plug or a chunk of cat litter.

Flatting with student MANY years ago, it was not uncommon to find the gastric reaction of far too much alcohol on the floor. It still makes me gag just thinking about it.

I had a toad or a frog in my welly last year. I screamed the garden down. But not as loud as I screamed when I uncovered that huge festering rat in my water butt.....

I had a mouse in my bed once - it jumped off the bedside cabinet into the bed, and ran the whole length of my naked spine. I couldn't sleep in that room for a week.

My H had been putting pictures up after we had moved and didn't notice he'd dropped a tack. I DID. at 5o/c am next day. Had to have a tetnus jab for that.
