If what you said was true then you might have given them food for thought. They might not hate you in a few days time...
no, I don't do that.

it's cruel, unkind and hurtful. people should think before they speak, words can not be taken back once the damage is done.
No not really I'm more a person that thinks after 'oh damm it I should have said this or that'
agree sara, I think there is a way to tell someone you are upset about something and then if they dont listen give it your all.
postage....LOL....I think that behaviour comes in to the group as "within normal behaviour"
i did exactly the same to a lovely girlfriend years ago, she then totally disappeared from my life for about 9 yrs. she appeared again by chance with a kid and a huge thug boyfriend.
if they don't listen, I'd walk away.. some people just can not be told ;o)
You use the phrase 'home-truths'............was what you said true ?
Are you just embarassed by what was said, or the way you said it ?
Are you sure that this person hates you................and will hate you forever ?
I tend to find that by saying it - I don't lose the plot. How I say it is up to me, but I am always prepared to go up through the gearbox as necessary

I done he damage i have to pay the price. they wont talk to me again LOL

and its family.... what I said was true ...
If all you have done is tell the truth postage then you shouldn't feel bad about it. You felt the need to say it so it must be important to you. Better out than in
At least you can content yourself with the fact that whilst, perhaps, the way you said it could have been a little more tactful, the substance of your comments was true.

Small comfort, perhaps..........
there's a lot to be said for "delivery"!
I suspect one of my family members will be getting a stern talking to at some point over the weekend from my OH. I'm sure it will go down like a lead balloon...such is life.

yes i agree perhaps the way it was said was not so good but the points were loud and clear. you all made me think yeh "bring it on" there i said it
if it's important, some things DO need saying ;o)
They certainly do....
but... it can cause irreparable damage.

you have to weigh it up.
So you actually went through the process of picking up the phone and dialling the number, rather than it being an off-the-cuff comment. You deserve everything you get in my humble opinion.
Why count? She hasn't explained the circumstances or what has been done/said.
