Saturday and it's going to be another glorious day here in Gloucestershire. We're living in the garden for most of the time . . . when Wimbledon is not on of course!

Have a happy day everyone.

Good morning to you wbm - I was going to ask if they hold Wimbledon in your garden bu thought better of it. Would it not be cooler on the canal in this weather? I found it too hot yesterday but I am hard to please!
morning, wbm - just so long as you went playing that marathon match !! Talk about going to extremes !!

Morning ttfn. It's not always cooler on the water. Our garden is secluded although we can hear the neighbours grandchildren playing. Quite delightful children they are too.
We will be on the water again on Wednesday. meanwhile the garden with a nice cool bottle of Chenin Blanc will do nicely. :-)
Sounds most palatable wbm. Hope you both enjoy the tennis and have a good day

Thank you ttfn. That's the general intention. I hope you enjoy your day too. This weather is meant for pleasure.
Good morning all - a lovely clear gentle morning here in Kent. My Seagull rambling rose is fully in bloom all up the back of the house, with a delicious scent. We have managed to bring on a couple of baby plants which self-seeded - never done this before - and baby 1 has its first tiny little rose flower. The cats are out and about sniffing the air on this fine morning.

Morning box. It's that kind of morning isn't it. It's a great feeling when something like your roses come on like that. An ideal day for doing not a lot I reckon. :-)
Hear Hear wbm. I have a bit of shopping to do which will be early, that's me lot today!
Question Author
Excellent. Same here, a bit of shop raiding then a severe attack of inertia is due to set in.
Hey hey, Mr wbm, Sir !! I'm jumping up and down here, waving and shouting and the neighbours have all come around !!! are we on no-speaks today, no you just didn't see me for all the other glamour around - I shall go and sulk !!!
Pah - me? - glamour? pah, pah, pah!

Sincerest apologies seeks. I wouldn't ignore you for the world. My fault entirely. I have been doing about four different things at once is my only excuse, which is no excuse for ignoring a friend. I'm so sorry. :-(

That was a cracking match wasn't it! I don't think all those records they broke will ever be bettered.
Question Author
lol ttfn.
speak for yourself ttfn <<preens>> gee thanks wbm!
what match ?? which match - haven't been watching matches, been watching birds instead, feathered ones that is - fascinating.
tut tut boxy - me = singular, we = plural
Anyway as my dear old mum used to say 'self praise is no praise at all'
<whoosh and I'm gone>

Wimbledon seeks. One match between Nicolas Hamut and John Isner went to 5 sets and the final set went to 70 games to 68. The match lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes over three days. John Isner won it.
ah, but there is a certain value in self-belief, ttfn - and to know when to self-depracate, like wot we do.
