Good places to walk?

I'm an avid rambler who likes to follow tracks that by-pass places of historical interest, is there any ABer's here who like to do the same thing, what places of interest have you visited and where?

apart from little zee's lovely happy thread, as always, I will attempt to change the direction a little, away from Mr V who turns out is a onion or summat...lol

As a kid I remember being dragged around various anglo saxon earthworks sites that may've been a village 100s of years ago but is now just a raised mound. Wayland Smithy was quite good, it was like a hut made out of huge stones.

I remember when you could actually walk amongst Stonehenge.
